What is Single Ply?
Single ply is a flat roofing system that uses a single layer synthetic polymer membrane to achieve a long lasting and maintenance free waterproof covering for your roof. It is typically laid in 1m rolls with the seams heat welded together to create a watertight join.
Mechanically fixed –
Single ply can be installed with special fixings that go through the membrane and into the substrate. This method of installation is well suited for areas with high wind loads, such as coastal regions or in the highlands.
Adhered –
Single ply can also be installed using a fully adhered system. The vapour barrier, insulation and single ply is all bonded down. This has an aesthetic benefit and well suited where the roof is easily seen.
